As part of the nation’s effort to prevent the spread of global COVID-19 pandemic, the Road Safety and Transport Authority, MolC has implemented various initiatives including the physical distancing in passenger buses and taxis.
With the implementation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on the operation of passenger buses and taxis, there are high chances that the transport operators might over charge fares on the passengers including transportation of freights.
Therefore, RSTA is hereby directed to strictly monitor the operation of public transport (buses and taxi in order to ensure uninterrupted services and also to avoid overcharging of fares .All the Regional/Base RSTA offices should be informed on the need to strictly monitor the overcharging of buses taxis Pares inclusive of transportation of freights charges.
